Trump Is Going To Light Up The White House In Honor Of The Police Officers

The police officers have the supporters form the people and now they have the support of the president as well.

President Donald Trump has just announced that the White House will be lightened blue in honor of the police officers. As The Hill reported, this will take place on the evening of Monday, May 15 to coincide with Peace Officer Memorial Day.

The entire upcoming week has been named “Police Week,” and Trump has requested form Americans to fly their flags at half-mast to honor officers killed in the line of duty.

“During Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week, we honor the men and women of law enforcement who have been killed or disabled in the course of serving our communities,” Trump said. “Police officers are the thin blue line whose sacrifices protect and serve us every day, and we pledge to support them as they risk their lives to safeguard ours.”

Statistics cited by the White House shows that attacks on law enforcements officers have gone up by 40 percent compared to the last year.

The former President Obama behaved as if he mistrusts the police officer and in contrast of that President Trump’s decision to light up the White House shows that he respects them.

Obama early in his presidency declared that police had “acted stupidly” in the arrest of a black college professor, despite admitting that he didn’t know all the facts.

After the scandalous shooting of Michael Brown, Obama invited the anti-law-enforcement group Black Lives Matter to the White House last year and deployed his Department of Justice in the witch hunt against police officer Darren Wilson and the entire Ferguson, Missouri, police force.

After the tragic attack in Dallas where five police officers died, Obama still reportedly dismissed a request from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation to light the White House blue as a sign of respect. But he was more than happy to light it in honor of the gay community.
